Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first chiropractic care visit for new patient paperwork. This consists of collecting your demographics, medical history, family history and reason for your visit. Your first visit is approximately 40 minutes with the doctor. This includes a review of history, comprehensive exam, adjustment and therapy, if needed.

Donnelly Chiropractic offers a complimentary insurance verification. We will obtain your insurance benefits on or before your first visit. This includes your deductible, co-insurance, co-pay and visit limit. If you need assistance in understanding your benefits, we are available to answer any questions.


We know insurance coverage is complicated. As a courtesy to our patients, we offer a complimentary insurance verification when you begin treatment with us. Insurance benefits are commonly accessed through a provider portal that is affiliated with your insurance carrier.

Insurance verification is not a guarantee of payment, in fact, your insurance company cannot even guarantee the information given to us is correct – they even preface that before providing coverage information.

We do our best to get the most accurate coverage, but until your insurance company processes your visits, the best information available has been given to you.

Here is some common insurance coverage lingo –

  • DEDUCTIBLE – This is the dollar amount that must be paid by you BEFORE insurance coverage begins.
  • CO-INSURANCE – After paying your deductible, some plans pay a portion, leaving you responsible for the remaining. This means each visit may be a different cost based on the services provided.
  • CO-PAY – After paying your deductible, some plans require a co-pay. This is a flat rate fee that is due at the time of EACH date of service.
  • OUT OF POCKET – This is the maximum amount of money you can expect to pay out of pocket for your plan year. Coverage often changes after this is met.

Referrals from your medical doctor are NOT required. Insurance companies may require pre-certification, but that will be disclosed to you before or at your first visit. We pride our insurance department in its accuracy and punctuality with our billing practices.


Our insurance department works diligently to ensure your claims get processed both timely and accurately. Insurance companies typically take 3-4 weeks to process, and we then send you a statement. You are able to pay your balance in the clinic, via mail or over the phone. We accept cash, check or credit card (including FSA or HSA cards).
